Collection Summary: Two letters written by Cornell to Muriel Streeter Schwartz. The first (1957) describes the hanging of her painting "over Robert's couch" and asks about her new work and her planned marriage. The second letter (1963) describes a "pre-Easter experience" of a "Hudson River Scene" which evoked childhood memories and encloses a card quoting a sermon by John Donne and a magazine clipping displaying the word "idyll" and a nude woman posing with a young male deer.

Biographical/Historical Note: Assemblage artist. Born 1903, died 1972.

Donated 1989 by Muriel Streeter Levy Schwartz.
