Biographical/Historical Note: Itinerant painter, portraitist, miniature painter; Piedmont, Va. Was an Irish immigrant to Virginia and a self-taught painter. Worked during the ante-bellum period.
Lent for microfiling in 1983 by Mrs. Woodruff Weaver, great granddaughter in-law of Toole.
