Collection Summary: Published video and writings by Roloff documenting Roloff's conceptual art, much of which only existed for a brief time. Included are four VHS videotapes: "What Follows", an interview with Roloff conducted by Jim Johnson in Boulder, CO, May 1987; "Gradient", 1994; "Deluge (Radiant Sleep/Helium Ash)", 1994; and "Metafossil (Metabolism and Mortality)", 1995. Also included is one DVD, "Prairie Starfish/Glacial Epoch," Sept. 1980. Writings include "New Observations: Organic Logic" co-edited by Roloff and Mark Bartlett, Fall/Winter 2000 and "Devonian Shale: Aquifer", 4/4, limited edition book, 2001 by Roloff.

Donated 2004 by John Roloff as part of the Nanette L. Laitman Documentation Project for Craft and Decorative Arts in America. As many of Roloffs pieces exist only for a month or an evening, these videotapes, digital and printed material are primary records. Additions are expected.
