Collection Summary: One scrapbook compiled by Tilton containing photographs of artists John Rollin Tilton and William Wetmore Story in their studios in Rome, of Paul Akers, of writers Robert Browning, Thomas Carlyle, and Alfred Tennyson; photographs of views of Italy, Switzerland, Scotland, Gibraltar, and New York state; photographs of works of art by Emma Stebbins, Tilton's aunt, and by old masters; watercolors by Tilton, H. Coleman, Thomas Hotchkiss, and Tilton's brother Paul H. Tilton.
Biographical/Historical Note: Architect; Chicago, Illinois. John Rollin Tilton was Tilton's father. He was a painter and settled in Rome.
Donated 1981 by Elizabeth Milroy, a descendant of Tilton.
