Description: Photograph shows Joachim, a small boy, painting on a large sheet of paper at a desk. Other children are visible at desks lined up behind his.
Identification on attachment (typewritten): His name originally was Joachim, the process of Americanization began with the contraction of the name to a good homely Joey. Joey is sufficiently advanced to issue statements, and here is his in his own language, 'I am four years old. I come from Germany. I came on the schiff. I saw big waters. I saw a little boy on the schiff. I like to live here.'
