Biographical/Historical Note: Akio Takamori (1950- ) is a ceramist in Seattle, Wash. Takamori was educated at Kansas City Art Institute and Alfred University. He teaches at the University of Washington and lives and works in Seattle.

This interview is part of the Archives of American Art Oral History Program, started in 1958 to document the history of the visual arts in the United States, primarily through interviews with artists, historians, dealers, critics and administrators.
