Description: Invitation for a "crazy costume dance" party to be held on Friday, Aug. 21st at the Devon Yacht Club in Easthampton, Long Island.
Invitation is illustrated with a woman wearing a tray and bottle on her head, hoisting a cocktail, and others in costume: a man wearing a barrel, a woman in a flowing garment, a man dressed as an equestrian (complete with horse).
Year based on report in the New York Times which mentions this party (Times, “CRAZY COSTUME’ BALL HELD: Gay Week-End at East Hampton Includes Many Dinner Parties," August 22, 1925, sec. SPORTS AUTOMOBILES).
