Description: Engraved certificate is embellished with vignettes depicting a wedding and a man and woman in a boat (captioned "the voyage of life"), as well as an ornate border of flowers, curlicues, doves and angels.
Published by N. Tibbals & Sons, New York, 1874.
Blanks in form are filled in with handwriting indicating the marriage of "John Frederick Peto of Philadelphia" to "Tena Pearl Smith of Marathon" (Ohio), on June 16th, 1889.
