Smith's New York APN story on Greene; Figure work; Mixing paints in his New York studio, artist Balcomb Greene starts work on a new painting. His way of working out his canvases in advanced and using the human figure mark him as no abstract expressionist. But in the 1930's he was a leader of the abstract school of painting which now shows signs of losing its hold on art.
