Collection Summary: Four sketchbooks, two done in New York and Italy; eight loose sketches; 27 finished drawings; two photographs of Sardeau and 80 of her works of art with commentary by George Biddle; an exhibition catalog; certificate of naturalization to the U.S.; a presidential certificate appointing Biddle to the Commission of Fine Arts.

Biographical/Historical Note: Sculptor; Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. and France. Sardeau was married to George Biddle, muralist, painter, and administrator of the Public Works of Art Project.

Donated in 1970 by George Biddle, Sardeau's husband.
