Collection Summary: 1905 yearbook, THE MORTAR-BOARD, from the Chatham Episcopal Institute, Chatham, Virginia, where O' Keeffe was a graduating senior. The yearbook contains illustrations by O' Keeffe.

Biographical/Historical Note: Painter; New Mexico. O' Keeffe married Alfred Stieglitz in 1924. She is best known for her modern paintings of southwestern landscapes, desert objects and flowers.

Lent for microfilming 1975 by Susan Booker. Booker's great aunt was a classmate of O' Keeffe's.
