Biographical/Historical Note: Landscape, portrait, and miniature painter, lithographer, etcher, and wood engraver; Mass. Married Harriet Pease in 1835. Traveled in Europe, mainly Italy, 1840-1846.
One of the lenders, Robert Scott, is a descendant of Harriet Pease Brown through the Downes family.
