Collection Summary: A 27 page interview transcript of Frank Lobdell conducted 2002 October 30, by Timothy Anglin Burgard, curator, Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, at Lobdell's Pier 70 Studio, in San Francisco, California, conducted in preparation for the exhibition, "Frank Lobdell: The Art of Making and Meaning," at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum, May 1-25, 2003. A book of the same title was published by the Fine Arts Museum of San Fransisco, Hudson Hills Press, 2003.
Biographical/Historical Note: Frank Lobdell (1921- ) is a painter from Minnesota, California Timothy Burgard is a curator at the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco and Lobdell scholar.
