The Jervis McEntee Diaries - December 23, 1888

Diary Entry:

Sunday, Dec 23, 1888 Went home with the 9.50 morning train via the Erie and the "short-cut" to Newburgh, taking near four hours to reach Newburgh. Did not get to Kingston until 3. There was no cab and I missed the car and had to walk and carry my heavy valise filled with the Xmas things. I was nearly tired out when I reached home. It was a warm day and I was dressed very warmly.
