The Jervis McEntee Diaries - September 29, 1888

Diary Entry:

Saturday, Sept 29, 1888 There was frost last night and it is so cool today that a fire is necessary. I made a shelf for Saras plants which however we concluded not to use. Sara had a most doleful letter from Nannie who thinks now it is all blissful at home and that she would be perfectly happy if she were here. We brought the house plants and vases on the front piazza and covered them from the frost which will be sure to come tonight. I saw in the Tribune this notice of the death of Mrs. Mullen.
