Diary Entry:
Wednesday, Sept 26, 1888 It did rain considerably in the night. I went down to the carriage house to see the effect of my mending and was gratified to find the leaks were all apparently stopped. Sara, Edith Cook, Marion and I took a walk after dinner around back of the cemetery and out above the tunnel. Cousin Rachel is here for a few days. Girard told me yesterday of the death of John Ed. Lounsbery whose funeral was to take place today. I wrote a note of condolence to Mrs. L.
