The Jervis McEntee Diaries - April 18, 1888

Diary Entry:

Wednesday, Apr 18, 1888 Sara left for home this morning but will go to Middletown and to Pokeepsie first. I began another small picture. Miss Edith Thomas and her sister came to see me today. They are both very timid but I set them at their ease and they had a pleasant call. This evening I called on Mrs. James B. Johnston who wrote me a note a few days ago and asked me to come and see them before they sailed for Europe on the 28th. The house was very warm. I dont see how people can live in such hot houses. Mrs Johnson said she thought the house very warm.
