The Jervis McEntee Diaries - April 17, 1888

Diary Entry:

Tuesday, Apr 17, 1888 I got out my study for the Danger Signal yesterday and today I have gone all over it and made a picture of it. I went up to Wilmurts and ordered a frame for it. Sara came in about 3 oclock. She is going to Middletown tomorrow morning and is to visit the Wilkinsons at Pokeepsie, returning there tomorrow evening while I am to join her there Friday evening. We had a successful meeting of the Artists Mutual Aid Society this afternoon at Woods Studio to take action on the matter of Darleys death. We also amended the constitution, elected C.Y. Turner to fill Darleys vacant place and accepted Whittredges invitation to have an outing this year in the vicinity of Summit and to lunch at his house. I spent the evening at Marys and [went to?] my room early to write up the record of todays meeting and to notify Turner of his election. A letter from Mr. Sawyer saying Alice is getting on well.
