The Jervis McEntee Diaries - May 9, 1885

Diary Entry:

Saturday, May 9, 1885 Mary and Calvert and I went home by the 4 o'clock train. There was a dangerous slide below Milton which occurred only a few minutes before our train arrived. The down track was completely buried and pushed over against the up track. We were delayed less than half an hour. It rained when we reached Kingston where Tom met us.
