Thursday, Dec 14, 1882 Finished my water color and began a little picture 12x20 of an idea I got while visiting Whittredge at Summit, partly as a study for a larger picture. Alice called and I spent the evening with her at Fred's. My Indian Summer went to Philadelphia. Attended reception at Mrs. De Forests.
