Diary Entry:

Saturday, Nov 11, 1882 Worked in my studio painting another small view from the Vlightbergh which is better than the other but I do not seem to be able to get the unity of effect I try for. It has been a threatening day totally unlike yesterday. Bierstadts house at Irvington burned last night.
