The Jervis McEntee Diaries - July 4, 1882

Diary Entry:

Tuesday, July 4, 1882 Early start. Rode to the Blackfoot Agency on the Badger river. Dined with Major Young at the Agent and his daughter. Celebration by nearly a thousand Indians [?] full fig. war dances etc. A target contest [?] by bad feeling. Very interesting to see the Indians.
