Diary Entry:
Wednesday, Feb 18, 1880 Booth did not come. I fear his wife is ill. Worked a little on my pictures but it has been a trying day to me. Wood came and asked me to see the picture he is painting of Gertrude. There is a great deal in it that is good but it lacks. Dined with the G. B. Club at the University Club. An interesting discussion after dinner on science and religion.
