Diary Entry:

A very sweet letter from Sade. Mr. Sanger and another gentleman from the Brooklyn Art Association called. Mr. Bird dined at Marys. Mary and I went to the 7th Regt. Fair. Great crowd and a very good collection of pictures, among them Munckazys "Mont de picte" fine in character and expression but black, black. Curt note from U. S. Exp. Co. which I answered as curtly.
