Went to see Dr. Joscelyn this morning. Have painted all day touching up several of my pictures. Wilmart called to see me this morning about pictures for St. Louis. I have promised him my Autumn Idyl and the small study for the Falling Leaves. Reimer was in to get a picture for Cincinatti. I did not promise anything but will try to send something. Hatfield came to tell me that the Boston man whom he brought here some time ago will be in town in a day or two and he is to bring him here again. I am in hopes he will like the "Falling Leaves". I sent my "Kaatskill brook" to the Union League Club this evening, but I have never sold anything here. Went to see the Booths this evening. Gifford and his wife came also and we spent the evening.
