The Jervis McEntee Diaries - February 2, 1876

Diary Entry:

It was snowing when I awoke and the wind was blowing a gale. It soon cleared off but the wind has blown violently all day and tonight when I went out for a walk it was growing very cold. Gifford came in about 7 o'clock and wanted to know if I had had my dinner. He had been writing and lost all track of the time. Hannah brought him up some dinner to my room and he staid here until 9 oclock. Wrote to Gertrude and sent to Pa patterns of Whittredge's, Giffords & Eastmans palettes.
