The Jervis McEntee Diaries - December 2, 1875

Diary Entry:

The weather still continues cold and the river is closed above Hudson, and it is full of ice below. I am suffering with a severe cold for the first time in a year. Dr. Joslin whom I sent for called and prescribed for me this evening. Frank Weeks called to say that Robt. DeForest would want my picture the Danger Signal. Is coming to see me. Wrote to Mr. DeForest in Europe to borrow his picture for the Centennial. Recd a letter from Eastman Johnson who is getting ready to come to town. Wrote to him and to Gertrude. Had a note from Mr. Latimer in charge of the galleries in Brooklyn to know if my pictures were for sale and the prices.
