Collection Summary: Correspondence, 1965-1966, between Davidson, Chairman of the Program in the Arts, Columbia University, and Edwin Dickinson, following the award of the Brevoort-Eikemeyer Prize given by the University to Dickinson, 1965. Taylor comments on Dickinson's Whitney Museum show and commends his painting "Gonzales Studio." Dickinson acknowledges Taylor's comments and explains his technique for painting highlights in a subject's eyes. Also included is a press release announcing the award, October 15, 1965.
