REEL 3813: Letters received, 1931-1969; a membership certificate from the National Academy of Design, 1938, and a certificate of merit awarded by the Audubon Artists, 1957; notes and writings, undated and 1934, including a speech at the dedication ceremonies of Cecere's statue of Abraham Lincoln in Milwaukee; clippings, exhibition catalogs, and other printed material; and 2 photographs of Cecere and photographs of his works of art, undated and 1934-1956.
UNMICROFILMED: 105 letters relating to the competition which Cecere won for the Lincoln Memorial in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a blueprint of his design for the Memorial, and a copy of Benjamin Lossing's A HISTORY OF THE CIVIL WAR, which Cecere used researching the project. In addition there are 6 photographs of his statue of John Frank Stevens, 1926, 2 photographs of Cecere at work, a photo of one of his portrait paintings: and 24 photos of his sculpture; legal documents; financial papers; exhibition catalogs; 3 letters to Cecere; 1967-1970; clippings; and 2 awards.
Unmicrofilmed material donated 1972-1978 by Cecere. Material on reel 3813 recieved via Syracuse University Library, where it apparently had been donated by Cecere, ca. 1970.
