A transcript of an interview with Barbara Zucker conducted by art historian Amy Schlegel between June 22 and November 6, 1995. The first part of the interview was conducted in New York City; the second part in Burlington, Vermont. Zucker discusses her work in the context of feminism. She explains her choice of materials and the development of her sculpture; her early job as a receptionist for the Andre Emmerich Gallery, her involvement in and reasons for leaving A.I.R. Gallery - an independent gallery for women artists in New York; and her thoughts about the feminist movement. She discusses the work of Eva Hesse, Lynda Benglis, Louis Bourgeois, Richard Serra and Marcel Duchamp.
