    Resume; art school report cards, 1885; several postcards and greeting cards; 456 photographs of MacNeil, his family, friends, models, studio and sculpture, and of other sculptor's work including his wife, Carol Brooks MacNeil; 9 sketchbooks with notes, and 8 sketches; a sketch by James A. Coughlin; clippings, exhibition catalogs and printed miscellany.

    Donated 1982 by Robert A. Sanborn, who received them from Donald Weeks, an English professor at Mills College, who in turn had received them from James A. Couglin, a colleague of MacNeil.
