Artists' files; business files organized by gallery; loan files; photographs and slides; transcripts and sound recordings; a checklist of the collection; printed material; and miscellany concerning Jacob's and Mason's collection of contemporary American ceramics, painting, sculpture and prints. Artists' files contain correspondence, résumés, and printed material on artists Laura Andreson, Rudy Autio, Clayton Bailey, Mary Jo Bole, Robert Brady, David Gilhooly, Arthur Gonzalez, Judy Kepes, Howard Kottler, Cheryl Laemmle, Ken Little, Michael Lucero, Judy Moonelis, Tony Natsoulas, Susanne and John Stephenson, Patti Warashina, and others. Gallery files contain correspondence with art dealers including Ruth Braunstein, Hal Bromm, Garth Clark, Charles Cowles, John Driscoll, Helen Drutt, Leslie Ferrin, Dorothy Weiss, and others. Photographs and slideas are of works of art and include three CDs of digital images of works of art documenting the majority of works in their colelction. Also included are transcripts and a CD of talks given by Jacobs, as well as transcripts of interviews with Jacobs. Printed material includes newsletters, exhibition announcements and catalogs, and miscellany.
The majority of the collection was donated in 2006 by Derek Mason as part of the Nanette L. Laitman Documentation Project for Craft and Decorative Arts in America. Mason donated an additional 3 CDs of images of works of art in 2008.
