REELS 2940-2941: Correspondence, a diary, appointment books, sketchbooks and miscellany of Ellen Day Hale; legal and financial papers concerning the estates of Edward Everett Hale and Emily P. Hale; sketchbooks of Herbert Dudley Hale; social invitations, calling and business cards, clippings, and miscellaneous financial papers.
REEL 3532: Nine sketchbooks, 1873-ca. 1917, by Ellen Day Hale and possibly others; sketchbooks, undated and 1879, by Margaret White Lesley, by Miss Hainde, and by an unidentified artist; a 1930 a drawing of Marsailles by Ellen D. Hale on one side and a drawing of Cairo by Gabrielle de Veaux Clements on the reverse; and a notebook, 1861-1865, listing "the likes and dislikes" of Hale family members.
Donated 1978 and 1984 by Nancy Hale Bowers, the neice of Ellen Day Hale, and the grand-daughter of Edward Everett and Emily P. Hale.
