Correspondence, photographs, works of art, writings, and printed material. A large group of the correspondence deals with Dreier family activities, travels abroad, and interests, with the chief correspondents being the four Dreier sisters and their brother.

Included are a group of letters from Dorothea in New York to her brother, Edward, in Pittsburgh, and correspondence with Dreier's sister, Mary, regarding women's suffrage. Works of art include sketchbooks by Dorothea. Also included is printed material regarding Theodor and Ludwig Dreier, Margaret's husband, Raymond Robins, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. and Frances Darby Davis, Walt Kuhn, Emily E. Ford Skeel, Julia M. (Mrs. Frederic Fairchild) Sherman, and close friends Maud, Agnes, and Mary Bartlett.

ADDITION: Correspondence with family; photographs of Dreier; sketchbooks, including one by an unidentified artist L.S.S.; childhood writings by Dreier; and printed material including an exhibition catalog, "The Dorothea Dreier Exhibition," 1925, a catalog for a painting sale featuring the work of Dreier at Kaliski's Auction Galleries in Manhattan, and an informational poster for the "Home for Recreation of Women and Children," of which Dreier was treasurer.

Donated by Mrs. Peter V.D. Voorhees, daughter of H. Edward Dreier, 1959-1960. The papers were found in a trunk on the family estate at Northport, Long Island, apparently untouched since Dorothea's death in 1923. Additional material donated in 2007 by Theodore and Barbara Dreier, Dreier's great-nephew and great-niece.
