    Joseph Cornell papers relating to advertising art, 1946-1951.

    Four letters from advertising agencies written in response to Cornell's request for consideration of his work, including one from the Blaker Advertising Agency, N.Y., July 26, 1946, one from the art director of Columbia Records, May 3, 1951, and two from N. W. Ayer & Son, July 25, and November 29, 1951. There are also a list of works Cornell sent to N.W. Ayer & Son at their request, and a printed checklist of the 24th Annual Exhibition of Advertising Art, April 10-28, 1945, sponsored by the Art Directors Club of New York.

    Transferred 1993 from the Joseph Cornell Study Center, National Museum of American Art, which received items with other material from Richard Feigen, one of three dealers who handled the Cornell estate.
