    Salvatore Aucello papers, 1941-1959

    31 preliminary sketches for a mural in the Chrylser Building, New York City, mostly gesture drawings of laborers. Sketches are on 29 sheets (27.7 x 21.4 cm.) charcoal & pencil on paper; 16 are signed in ink: "SA." Also included are a resume, an exhibition catalog, 1941, a reproduction of a mural by Aucello in P.S. 150, Bronx, New York, and other printed material.

    REEL 439 AND SCANNED 17 photographs of Aucello, previously microfilmed under Photos of Artists I, has since been scanned and returned to the Aucello papers.

    Donated 1961 by Salvatore Aucello. 17 photographs of Aucello at work were also received with the papers; they were removed and microfilmed with Photos of Artists I, reel 439. Twenty-five color slides of his work were received Sept. 1961 and placed in Photos of Works, Collection II.
