Freeman, Herbert Ravenel Sass, and Richard Wetjin; six sketchbooks; one notebook on etching; 27 photographs of Allen and his friends, studio, and work, included among the photos is one of Allen sketching (also microfilmed on reel 1817, fr. 133-134 with Photos Artists II.); and exhibition catalogs, announcements, clippings.

Donated 1972 by Mrs. James Allen, widow of Allen.
