Collection Summary: Correspondence; photographs of her work; two scrapbooks; exhibition catalogues; her master's thesis on egg tempera painting (Stanford Univ., 1936); rotogravure newpaper pages with illustrations by her; and a cassette tape of her remarks at a 1977 portrait unveiling.
The correspondence concerns religious art exhibitions, local art organizations, the Art in Embassies program, Artists Equity Association (D.C. chapter), Franz Bader, the preparation of a Robert Kennedy memorial volume, and other topics.
Biographical/Historical Note: Painter, collagist, graphic artist, and teacher (Washington, D.C.). Born in North Dakota, Ferriter did graduate work at Stanford University and taught at Catholic University. She is a former president of the D.C. chapter of the Artists Equity Association. Ferriter died December 31, 1994.
