Collection Summary: 101 catalogs of exhibitions organized by Valentin at Galerie Alfred Flechtheim in Berlin, 1929, and at Buchholz Gallery in New York City, 1937-1948. Also found is one undated Christmas card.
Biographical/Historical Note: Art dealer and gallery director; New York, N.Y. Valentin came to the U.S. from Germany in 1937. He worked at the Buchholz Gallery, which he took over and renamed the Curt Valentin Gallery. The gallery closed in 1955.
Donated 1977 by Jane Wade Lombard, a former employee of Valentin.
