Collection Summary: Tuckerman's book provides biographical information on many 18th and 19th century American artists; photographs of several are included.

Donated ca. 1958 by Robert McIntyre as part of the Macbeth Gallery records. Also donated were 18 individual photographs of artists taken by George Rockwood and Sarony & Co. offered for sale in the extra-illustrated, large paper edition of Tuckerman's book. These have been cataloged separately under Rockwood, George.
