Collection Summary: Interviews conducted by Heymann with 47 artists from the San Francisco Bay Area, Miami area, Arkansas, and New Orleans. The interviews were done in preparation for articles and writings published in or submitted to Art Voices/South and other publications; the Miami interviews were live radio broadcasts. Most contain biographical information, artists' statements, and political and social attitudes.

Artists from the San Francisco Bay area include: Raymond Saunders, Stephen De Staebler, Beverly Mayeri, David Gilhooly, Zvi Tolkovsky, Al Farrow, Robert Brady, Ernest De Soto, Robert Surface, Dan Corbin, Bill Granizo, Robert Gonzales, Roberta Loach, Neal Doty, Austin Conkey (a collector), Pamela Markmann, Mark Chester, Dorothy Becker, Linda K. Smith, Michael Moore, Ivan Majdracoff, Annette Kaplan, John Komisar, Joanne Ruff, George Miyasaki, and Beryl Landau.

From the Miami area are: Reyna Youngerman, Jan van der Marck, Garland Faulkner, Enrique Castro Cid, Russel and Margo Hicken, Jo Lynn Moore, Rosemay Chiarlone, Brenda Gilpin, Natalie Marshall Nadel, Bill Humphries, Zena Posever, Terri Fandler, Yana Bem, Carla Santiago, Huntley Burgher, Danny Carballeira, and Ana Alonso. Arkansas artists include Ken Barker, Miriam McKinnie, and Erwin Doege, and artists from New Orleans are Bruce Brice and Bert Myers.
