Collection Summary: Photographs, works of art, and printed material documenting Allan Clark's career as a sculptor.
The bulk of the collection contains photographs of Asian sculptures taken by Clark while traveling, Western art used as source material by Clark, works of art by Clark, animals, and Clark's models. Also included is one photograph of Clark working on a sculpture taken by Edward Miner. Works of art include a few watercolors sketches and drawings by Clark. Printed material includes newspaper clippings including images of animals.
Biographical/Historical Note: Allan Clark (1896-1950) was a sculptor in New York, N.Y. and Santa Fe N.M.
Donated 2009 by Allan Clark via Janis Conner and Joel Rosenkranz, estate executors.
