The Lawrence A. Fleischman Gallery
The Lawrence A. Fleischman Gallery opened on July 1, 2007 in the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture.
Named in honor of the Archives’ co-founder Lawrence A. Fleischman, and made possible through the generous support of Barbara G. Fleischman, the gallery enables the Archives to present interactive and informative exhibitions from among the more than 16 million items documenting the history of visual arts in America.
The gallery is located on the 1st floor of the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture, home to the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery. The Archives also has a gallery in its New York Research Center.
